1. I know in whom I have believed,
On this assurance I rely;
In Christ’s sweet presence I am guarded,
Secure I rest while He is nigh.

2. I know in whom I have believed,
Commited to an Allwise God;
Who knows our ev’ry human weakness,
Carries our burdens, bears our loads.

No foe I fear, or tempest wild;
The Christ in whom I hide is able
To keep in peace His trusting child.

In time of trouble He’s my stay;
And when the tempter strong assails me,
Secure I’m kept against that day.

And so “the victory” is mine;
Not by the world, nor man, nor angel,
But by this mighty faith Divine.

This “Hope of glory” fills my soul;
O, joy of life! and light of Heaven,
