1. Lord, increase our courage!
We raise our prayer to Thee,
That in the hour of trial
We may steadfast be;
On Thine arm relying for the victory,
For our land we praise Thee,
Our nobler heritage,
With might resistless clothe us,
Lord, as we engage
In the fight for truth and right that we must wage.
2. Lord, increase our purpose
To keep our country free
From evils that imperil
Blood-bought liberty;
Evils that, already here, must conquered be.
Fill us with the spirit
That thrill’d Thy servants true
In days of old, and gave them
Strength Thy will to do;
Thus endued shall we Thy holy will pursue.
3. Lord, increase our valor,
Our wisdom, faith, and zeal,
And may we by our actions
Our professional seal
Resolutely seeking for the common weal.
Christ, Thy name we’ve taken,
Full worthy may we prove,
To bear it on our banners,
As we forward move,
Conqu’ring sign of earth and Heav’n, Eternal Love!
