1. In the far-off heathen countries,
Many thousands die each day:
Who have never heard of Jesus,
And that He will hear them pray.

Let us hasten to their rescue,
How can we thus let them die?
Christ is waiting for our answer,
“Send me,” Lord, let us reply.
2. Jesus Christ our tender Shepherd,
Said there was another fold,
Lost ones out in midnight darkness,

3. We who have this blessed gospel,
God’s dear Spirit and His word,
Can we dwell at ease, when millions,
Jesus name have never heard?
