Eager sought their Lord;
Tender was His loving welcome,
List the Master’s Word.

Suffer little children,
Bid them come to me;
Suffer ye the little children,
And forbid them not.
2. Little children came to Jesus,
Heard His tender call;
Gentle was the Master’s greeting,
As He blessed them all.
3. Little children still may seek Him,
He is waiting near;
As of old His words are spoken,
Still His voice we hear.
