1. When the deep shadows linger around you,
When the dark clouds hide all the blue sky,
Let not your griefs one moment confound you;
All your heart needs the Lord will supply.
Refrain:
Whisper your troubles softly to Jesus,
Tell Him what brings you grief and distress;
Tell all the pains and losses to Jesus,
It is His joy to comfort and bless.
2. Hindered by doubt or pressed by temptation,
When your bright faith grows misty or dim,
Ask God for strength and sweet consolation;
Go to the Savior, tell it to Him.
3. O, there is comfort for ev’ry sorrow,
There is reward for labor and pain,
Night shadows go at dawn of the morrow,
