1. Weavers are we at a wonderful home,
Sometimes in sunshine and sometimes in gloom;
Weaving so slowly, one thread at a time,
Working away, till we hear the last chime.
(Chorus) Weaving, weaving a little each day,
Threads of gold and threads of gray;
Weaving in shadow and weaving in sun,
Weaving, we’re weaving till the web is done.
2. Ours not the wisdom to plan the design;
Only to follow it, line after line;
Taking our threads from the Master’s own hand,
Learning to use them, as He shall command.
3. Tho’ in our weakness, we make sad mistakes,
We have a Helper who never forsakes;
Take Him the tangles, and ask for His aid;
Christ is a Friend who will never upbraid.
4. Often the pattern looks dark to our eyes,
Heavenly beauty in mortal disguise;
On with the weaving! The gray and the gold
Finished, will sparkle with glory untold.
