1. O brother, as you journey
Along your earthly way,
The seeds of good or evil
You’re sowing ev’ry day.

Take heed, take heed, O brother dear,
‘Tis not for time alone,
But in the life that’s coming
You’ll reap as you have sown.
2. O brother, pray consider
What kind of seed you sow,
For soon there’ll be a harvest
Of gladness or of woe.
