1. Zealous for service are we, gracious Master;
Teach us Thy will and give strength to obey;
Guided by Thee we shall fear no disaster,
Thy grace shall cover the need of the day.
(Chorus) Faith is our watchword, and service our glory,
Love’s inspiration our hearts shall keep true:
Nobly we’ll tell out redemption’s glad story,
Doing the work Thou hast set us to do.
2. Hard is the task oftentimes, as Thou knowest;
Selfishness tempts, sin allures from the way;
Only as love, grace and joy Thou bestowest,
Can we to others Thy spirit display.
3. Souls all around us are hungry for kindness;
Help us to speak the words loving and true;
Master, forgive us our deafness and blindness,
Open our eyes to the good we may do.
